Cruisecall has released details of a special Gallipoli Anzac cruise for 2010 visiting Anzac Cove in Turkey with Ponant Cruises. The cruise is especially tailored for Australian and New Zealand travellers. The highlight of this itinerary is the visit to the port of Cannakale, Turkey for 2 nights which is where excursions take place on the Gallipoli Peninsula including visits to Lone Pine and Anzac Cove to attend the ANZAC Day Dawn Service on 25 April 2010.
This departure will be on the elegant yacht, Le Levant. With only 45 cabins, we have been warned guests need to book early to avoid disappointment.

A selection of shore excursions will be offered onboard, however the “Cannakale Programme” (see below) is included in the cruise fare and includes the ANZAC Day Dawn Service

The “Cannakale Programme” included in the cruise fare:

 24 April 2010. After breakfast, disembark Le Levant and board your coach to commence a full day tour.

The Anzac tour includes: Mortal Bay and a visit to the Turkish War Memorial, Cape Helles, Main Beach and Anzac Cove, Lone Pine, Chunuk Bay (also visit the New Zealand war memorial and cemetery) with views to Suvla Bay.

A special picnic lunch is included, prepared by the chefs of Le Levant. The tour ends late afternoon with time to freshen up before dinner onboard.

25 April 2010. At 11.30pm on the 24th, disembark Le Levant and board your coach with our professional guide and travel to the Dawn Celebration site. Stop at the Gallipoli Tourist Information Centre before arrival at approximately 1.00am at Shrapnel Valley and the security check point.

There's an approx. 45 minute walk to Main Beach, Anzac Cove for the Dawn Service at 5.00am. Afterwards, walk from Main Beach, Anzac Cove through Shrapnel Valley to Lone Pine and attend the Lone Pine Service at 10.30am. At approximately 11.20am transfer to your coach and return to Le Leavant for lunch onboard and afternoon of rest and relaxation.
